Our family of 14 decided to get together for a long weekend. We wanted a cabin with at least 6 bedrooms, and plenty of bathrooms. We found the listing for Lost Bear Cabin, loved the pictures, and it sounded like it would be a great place to spend time with our kids while having plenty of room. We were not disappointed! From the moment we started the booking process things could not have been better. The owner was in touch quickly and continued to be in contact throughout the booking process, answered all of our questions including a list of nearby activities.. things to do and see.
Lost Bear Cabin is beautiful, comfortable and clean! We spent most of our weekend at the cabin. The whole family played corn hole (supplied), used the fire pit for s'mores, played card games (we brought), and enjoyed the huge yard and deck. We visited Caddy Shak for an afternoon at the request of the younger kids, another afternoon was spent at the lake at Laurel Hill State Park for some paddle boarding and swimming for the kids while some of the adults shopped at a couple of the local General stores. We ate all of our meals at the cabin. The kitchen is fantastic with the best appliances and stocked with EVERYTHING we needed, we went shopping for food at Giant Eagle, everything else was already there! Because we are a large family we typically rent a home or cabin for our vacations, we've NEVER had all of the essentials supplied by the owners.. Lost Bear Cabin was the first… paper plates, paper bowls, paper towels, bathroom tissue, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, zip lock bags, laundry soap are all items that we have brought to other rentals or purchased once we got there. The owners thought of EVERYTHING.. The beds, pillows, blankets and bath towels were all top quality comfortable items as was the rest of the furniture. We truly enjoyed our time spent at the cabin.
